How parents can help with speech therapy

Many parents often asked me if their children need speech therapy. My response is that all children learn at their own pace. Here are some ideas that you can use at home to help your child develop their speech.

I know with my own children, we used to talk while I was helping them get dressed. We would have an entire conversation while they were choosing pants or shirts or socks. I was talking to them the whole time and letting them hear my pronunciation helped them with their pronunciation.

This article talks about how easy it is to speak with your child during playtime.

I think you can use any time of the day that you’re with your children to work on speech just by talking to them and having them answer you back. And remember, patience is the most important thing.
