Building on the Rock
School expansion campaign
At Atonement each day over 300 children ages 3 through 14 are Building on the Rock for a brighter tomorrow. Their future is solid because they are building their lives on Jesus and on a high-quality education. Atonement has been making a difference in children’s lives for 87 years. Test scores continue to rise and Atonement graduates continue to make a difference in the community. Not only do children grow in their knowledge and skills, but they learn how to make good decisions and lead.
In 2016 Atonement approved a $2.75 million school expansion. This expansion includes a bigger Early Childhood Center right in the main school building, additional classrooms, new offices, an auxiliary gymnasium, and two outdoor student activity areas. It also addresses security, traffic flow, and outdoor play space.
The walls of the school expansion are going up now, to bring increased opportunities for a bright future to more children. They have the whole world at their fingertips!
You can be a part of Building on the Rock by supporting the school expansion effort with your gifts. Funding for the building itself has been acquired. However, furnishings, equipment, and materials are still needed to make the spaces functional.

The building addition will enable Atonement to provide learning space for 450 children. The new entrance, lobby, and offices will make the school more inviting and functional. The new three- classroom ECC space will be on the ground floor; close by will be two outdoor learning areas and an auxiliary gym for the ECC’s young children. All these new spaces will need to be furnished and equipped.
